Con motivo del 30 aniversario de la publicación de los dos volúmenes de la Gramática comunicativa del español, marcoELE entrevistó a su autor, el profesor Francisco Matte Bon, con el objeto de revisar el papel que aquella aproximación gramatical representó para la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera, cuál ha sido su rendimiento posterior y las líneas de investigación actuales en términos no solo de descripción de lengua sino también de su didáctica para estudiantes extranjeros. La entrevista inicial devino una auténtica lección magistral y -como se comprobará- las preguntas se diluyeron rápidamente. Transcribimos, adaptamos y compartimos aquí esos contenidos, debidamente supervisados por el profesor Matte Bon.
INTERVIEW WITH FRANCISCO MATTE BON: DISCOVERING THE SECRET ARCHITECTURE OF THE LANGUAGE
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the publication of the two volumes of the Gramática comunicativa del español, marcoELE interviewed its author, Professor Francisco Matte Bon, in order to review the role that this grammatical approach represented for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and what has been its subsequent performance in terms not only of language description but also of its didactics for foreign students. The initial interview became a real master class and -as will be seen- the questions were quickly diluted. We transcribe, adapt and share these contents here, duly supervised by Professor Matte Bon.
