SOME REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE QUESTIONS ASKED BY PRE-SERVICE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS
The goal of this paper is to analyse a fact that happens in microteaching with Spanish pre-service teachers in undergraduated course of a Brazilian university. It is the great incidence of questions and direct requests carried out during their practices as teachers, they usually nominate the students when they ask the questions or make requests. Although the validity or not of these actions can be argued, because it can depend on the objectives of the lesson and is also influenced for the situation of evaluation with the presence of an observer, we think that the fact must be analyzed with the pre-service teachers in the attempt to reflect on the existence of other less asymmetrical forms to carry out the questions (for example, to ask general questions before nominating a specific student) that could help establish a better affective climate and a better work with the contents, as well as an efficient management of the classroom. With the reviewed literature we try to show that, although the teacher`s questions have been widely studied from diverse perspectives, this aspect has been neglected so far and would deserve further research.
