A CONTRASTIVE METHODOLOGY APPROACH FOR TEACHING SPANISH AND ENGLISH FOR MEDIA DISCOURSE
This presentation describes our experience as teachers of Spanish and English in Media Studies at university level. We will present our initial approach and objectives, the theoretical methodology, the description of the primary material and the methodological application of this primary material. We will describe some of the problems which have appeared, as well as detail our way of tackling and solving them from a contrastive point of view, considering that the students enrolled in this course are native Spanish speakers, as well as a considerable number of Erasmus students, among which there are various native English speakers.
